Docufraud Canada Announces Forensic Presumptive and Laboratory Drug Testing

Docufraud Canada offers full laboratory and presumptive drug testing for illegal drugs, blood, bodily fluids and saliva

TORONTO, CANADA, February 24, 2026 Docufraud Canada is pleased to announce the rollout of our forensic toxicology department. Laboratory and presumptive testing is offered throughout Canada and the USA.

As our name suggests, Docufraud is a Canadian company and is one of Canada’s largest non government run forensic laboratory facility. Our examiners have many hours of court experience and our forensic reports have been court recognized in all provinces throughout Canada and the U.S.A.

For many years, Docufraud has been known for its expertise in forensic document examination in support of fraud investigations and workplace harassment cases. We’ve also been recognized by criminal defence lawyers for the verification of fingerprint evidence. We’ve been called upon many times to confirm or refute police evidence as it relates to fingerprint identification.

We have announced previously our expansion into new forensic disciplines. To accommodate our customer requests for testing of unknown substances such as powders liquids and prescription medications, Docufraud has entered into an agreement with a well known pharmaceutical laboratory for expert witness toxicology reports that may later be required and used for civil or criminal court proceedings.

Not all toxicology testing is required for legal proceedings. Our own Toronto Lab offers presumptive testing for the detection of illegal drugs, date rape drugs, ecstasy, saliva, bodily fluids and blood. Many enquires are from family members of a victim or businesses who are concerned about employee safety. Criminal defence lawyers have interest in confirmation testing to support their client’s legal defence.

Presumptive testing is also used for any circumstance where an unknown substance or liquid is discovered. Confirmation testing of whether the discovered substance is hazardous or benign is preferred prior to a more expensive definitive lab test.

Presumptive testing of blood, saliva and bodily fluids are typically performed on fabric or skin or at a crime scene. While these tests may preferably be conducted in a hospital setting, there are instances where such confirmation testing may be implemented outside of a hospital setting. Docufraud’s expansion into toxicology testing is to support this specific request from the public.

The expansion of our forensic laboratory into new disciplines not only offers a greater range of forensic services for the benefit of our customers. It also provides internship opportunities for those seeking greater forensic laboratory experience.

We’ve Done it Again! Docufraud Laboratory Announces Expert Digital Analysis of Documents and Personal Devices

At Docufraud, digital forensics come in two categories. Document analysis to confirm if a document has been back dated, or altered after signing. Analysis of digital devices to identify the sender of unwanted images, video’s, texts or email messages.

Docufraud Forensic Laboratory is pleased to announce the integrated use of leading edge forensic technology and forensic experts to combat the proliferation of fraud and unlawful activity.

At Docufraud, digital forensic analysis comes in two formats but includes many variations on the theme.

Forensic document examiners encounter numerous instances where a document is believed to have been backdated or altered after signing. The determination of alteration or backdating has been a difficult task for document examiners. Many are not trained or skilled in the use of digital forensics. Or to understand the lengths an offender will go to commit fraud. Traditionally, a visual examination using magnification has been commonplace. If the suspect has advanced computer skills, visual detection can be difficult or impossible.

We’re also pleased to announce the forensic skills used to examine documents is also used to forensically examine a personal electronic device, tablet or computer. Not only for altered documents, but for unwanted or incriminating images, text messages or emails. A digital forensic expert is skilled in the use of technology, systems and methods needed to extract hidden metadata from a document or device. A digital footprint always remains, perhaps by a disgruntled employee or an external source. Yet, every problem has a solution.

What if it’s possible to recover and analyse deleted, hidden or corrupted files from computers, mobile phones and storage devices. Verification of data integrity is our goal and the detection of tampering, backdating or forgery. But that’s not the whole story. It is imperative that proper chain-of-custody procedures be used to preserve evidence for legal proceedings in civil or criminal trial.

Text and email messages can be incriminating evidence especially if presented in court, but how can authenticity or the originating source be confirmed? Our experts are trained and skilled in the examination and extraction of email headers, attachments, and metadata to identify the anonymous sender. We’ll use forensic imaging to identify server routing, originating IP’s and check for spoofing or manipulation. There’s also network forensics that includes capturing and analysing traffic to investigate incidents.

It’s often asked what set’s us apart from an experienced computer user, what constitutes a forensic expert? Not only are the best of the best employed by us, but our team is experienced providers of expert witness court testimony. Detection of the source problem does not end there. A forensic expert knows how to preserve evidence and present court testimony to support their findings with credible supporting documentation.

The use of technology is limited only by the imagination of it’s user. If there’s a legal defence pending or if an organization can benefit from from unwanted intrusion that requires forensic expertise, we’re happy to assist by providing expert witness court testimony when needed. This announcement strengthens the capability of Docufraud’s forensic laboratory. It allows all customers and organizations easy access to professional expertise not always readily available. Our customers deserve the best possible outcome.

Now There’s Voice Recognition to Combat Impersonation, Fraud & Identity Theft

In the world of Artificial Intelligence, voice recognition is an important tool in combating the unauthorized use of a person’s voice or image

Docufraud Forensic Laboratory is pleased to announce the integrated use of leading edge forensic capabilities and forensic experts to combat the unauthorized use of a person’s voice, otherwise known as Voice Recognition. We believe this unauthorized use is a form of identity theft. To address this issue head on, Docufraud has once again expanded it’s list of forensic offerings to include Voice Recognition. detection and identification

Voice recognition comes in two formats but includes many variations on the theme.

Images generated by Artificial Intelligence and recordings of celebrities, politicians, and everyday people has been growing in popularity. The unauthorized access to a persons image and voice has become commonplace. The amount of internet and telephone SCAM’s have increased with alarming speed and sophistication. Much of it fueled and made easier by artificial intelligence. The use of AI can’t be put back in the bottle, but there are solutions that can reduce the impact it can have when used improperly.

Here are some of those solutions. When provided with a genuine voice sample, our forensic experts can differentiate between an AI generated voice and a real human voice. Whether masked, muffled or disguised, in any language, we can identify the minute characteristics necessary to confirm what is real and what is not real.

Celebrities and politicians are particularly susceptible to impersonation and the unauthorized use of their image and voice. It may be to promote a product or service, or it may be used by foreign entities to sow distrust by disseminating false and misleading information. Elder and parent scams are prevalent. A voice sounding like a child or grandchild will seemingly telephone to say they’ve been arrested and need money for bail. Perhaps just one example but the imagination of the scammer is endless. Now there’s a solution for victims to regain control.

Wouldn’t it be nice for law enforcement and prosecutors to positively link a suspect to the unknown voice perpetrating the scam or crime. Once a suspect has been identified, prosecution can commence. Docufraud has the technology and expertise to do just that, our experts will collaborate with prosecutors and prepare audio evidence for criminal proceedings.

Has your home or place of business been the target of a smash & grab, vandalism, violence. What about workplace threats and intimidation? Any of these scenarios are committed by a person or persons in disguise. Grainy or blurred images or security video’s. These are no longer a problem for the experts at Docufraud Laboratory.

No matter whether the anonymous voice is masked, muffled or disguised, we can identify the speaker. Blurred images, we can unblur them to identify the individual. Enhancement of low quality recordings, grainy or blurred security video. We’ll remove background noise and boost audio clarity. We can unblur video to identify the offenders or perhaps identify a witness or victim in the background. We’ll authenticate the video’s digital fingerprint, it’s origin and detect evidence of edits or tampering. The uses of technology is limited by the imagination of it’s user.

It’s often asked, what differentiates a forensic expert from a skilled audio or computer enthusiast? The answer is simple, Docufraud experts are the best of the best and will provide expert witness testimony at civil or criminal trials. We’ll document and preserve collected evidence with proper chain-of-custody for successful trial proceedings. Docufraud will work closely with law enforcement and prosecutors to identify or eliminate persons of interest.

If your organization or business has fallen prey to threats or intimidation, our team of experts will conduct a deep dive into phones, tablets or computers until the responsible individual is identified or other persons are eliminated as suspects. Docufraud is please to announce that we have the latest technology to follow the evidence wherever it leads.

Immigration or a Refugee claim being rejected due to the identity of the claimant in question?

Docufraud Canada Forensic Laboratory is Canada’s largest non-government private forensic laboratory. Our laboratory services are open to lawyers, investigators, regulatory bodies, corporations and everyday people. Today, Docufraud is announcing forensic services specifically tailored for the benefit and assistance of immigration lawyers and consultants. Our support is specifically focused on the following areas:

● Forensic examination of signatures and altered documents;
● Fingerprint identification comparison and matching;
● Passport or ID card examination;

Rejection of an applicants immigration or refugee status often comes in many forms. One such area of concern is related to the proper identification of the applicant. An overworked and over burdened system simply adds complexity to the confusion and inherent problems faced by lawyers and consultants. Here is a short list of some of these:

1. Sponsor – (often a former spouse), no longer has an interest in continuing a sponsorship application and now claim they never signed the documents and their signature is a forgery;
2. Immigration authorities believe the passport or supporting identification such as an ID card is a forgery or intentionally damaged to conceal definitive identification;
3. Allegation that the actual person is not the same person shown in the passport and is an imposter;

There are many reasons for a denied or rejected claim related to temporary workers, student applications, or temporary work permits. Refugee claimants are often without satisfactory identification, lost, stolen or destroyed. The challenging question is how does a person prove identity when the standard methods of identification cannot meet the scrutiny of immigration officials. We can provide an answer to that question.

Fingerprint Identification: A Docufraud forensic expert will receive a known fingerprint sample and compare it to the disputed sample in question. Let us confirm or refute the findings offered by Immigration authorities. We will confirm if the decision to question the applicants identity was justified or in error. Docufraud uses the same fingerprinting identification systems and techniques used by police and CBSA.

Docufraud posses the Foster & Freeman VSC 80i Video Spectral Comparator for assessing ink on documents and provenance of passports and ID cards. We can quickly identify hidden, damaged or obliterated text and identify fraudulent or counterfeit passports and ID cards. Alternatively we can utilize the Keyence VHX-X1 ultra-high resolution 3D multi-spectral digital microscope to assess documents and passports for evidence of alteration or intentional manipulation.

Docufraud Laboratory contains the most current technology to detect forgeries and digitally manipulated documents. Now you have an alternate tool to assist your client in verifying and proving identification. We’re here to help you and your clients get to the truth and keep bad actors from manipulating the system.

Forensic examiners at Docufraud Canada are forensic experts who can provide expert witness testimony before the courts in Immigration matters, Criminal prosecution or civil litigation.
